Travelling for Christmas File 1

Unfortunately I'm not  of the lucky ones that can go away on Christmas holidays, as my husband's work demands to stay at the office until late even on Christmas and  New Year's Eve. But as they say ''Best trips are made by our own minds''. So today I'm mind travelling to 2 great destinations and I'll show you 2 lovely boutique hotels.Their decoration is of high aesthetics and makes you feel like being at a cute and warm home.

The first one is Kapsaliana Village Hotel and is located in Crete. Kapsaliana Village Hotel’s history-steeped settlement, set in the island’s largest olive grove, has an 18th-century olive press and its own museum. The original press and pitharia (clay storage vessels) can still be admired and there’s a homely restaurant and a flower-flanked outdoor pool. Rooms are soothingly simple: stone interiors and arches.
Enjoy the gallery and why not, consider of having a Christmas holiday there.

The other hotel is Coqui Coqui and is located in Tulum of Mexico. Surrounded by jungle and sea, Coqui Coqui Tulum hotel combines rusticity with relaxation: a formula that keeps A-listers and in-the-know civilians coming back for more. With a design as emblematic as the nearby ruins of Tulum, this cream-coloured beachfront stay has an ocean-inspired spa, breezy bedrooms and views of the shimmering Caribbean.
So if you want to spend warm and sunny Christmas, just take a look there.
I think my mind will also be there!

Countdown for Christmas

We are one month before Christmas and today I'd like to share with you 2 beautifully decorated homes, both in Scandinavian style, which I like very much.

The first one, which is a farm in the region of New Zealand in Denmark, belongs to a family and it is decorated with a few but stylish Christmas ideas that fit perfectly with their regular furniture. They have Christmas decoration only on the living room with a traditional tree and some Christmas ornaments hanging on wooden branches . Simple and beautiful.

Do Christmas have to be red and gold?? In this second house the answer is no. This warm and lovely home belongs to an Italian lady who's living in Denmark. Her decoration for Christmas is based on white colors that give a very festive and bright atmosphere to her home. I love the big vase beside the cast iron stove in which she has placed wooden branches from which are hanging white Christmas ornaments. This is an idea I'm also going to have this year in my home.
Enjoy and get inspired!

A redesigned beautiful home in Southern France

This beautiful residence, built back in the 80's was completely redesigned by Marie-Laure Helmkampf of Ml-h design. Although I prefer white and bright colors for my living space, I must admit that the black and yellow colors used in this home, in combination with wooden furniture, create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Some cushions with geometrical designs add a note of modernity. And I think the idea of having the master bedroom in an open space with the bathroom is great. And the garden looks so nice with all these trees. Perfect for any sunny day! Enjoy the gallery.
